Everybody is corrupt but you

Everybody is unfair but you

Everybody lies but you.

No wonder, you are always angry

No wonder, you are always cheating

No wonder, you are always bullying.

The press attacks you just because you didn’t pay stupid taxes   

The academics bother you just because you are more than ignorant

The poets criticize you just because you lack a heart.

The only people who like you are comedians, Russian spies, and wall builders.

You can’t even scare us 

You can’t even create a reality with insults

And you’ll never, never, turn us into haters like you.

I let the light of the moon in

           as my lone companion

but a March cold embraces my night

           and freezes my time. 

 

My house is barely small

but empty is too deep.

 

Only the storm knocks on my door

           but when I run to invite the wind in

                    it is gone.

                     while stagnant thoughts

                              pound my solitude.
